My team has been working hard on our Concert Finder app. I’m really proud of my girls. They are really good at design and content, as well as understanding the programming work. I wish we had more time, as there’s still a lot to do. Our app is definitely larger in scope than a lot of the other teams, so I feel like we have more work to do. However, things are going well. Our business plan is coming along well, too!
Would you be interested in attending our Pitch night? All of the teams will be presenting their apps and business plans. I think it will be really cool! I’m excited to see how it turns out. You can attend for free and see what these innovative high school students have done. Click here to snag a seat. I’d love to see you there.

The Technovation Challenge
The Technovation Challenge gives young women from Los Angeles high schools the chance to work with computer science and business mentors to build skills and experience in technology and entrepreneurship.
This spring, 28 high-school girls and 8 industry professionals took part in the challenge to build the most creative mobile app. During the 9-week program, these talented young women participated in hands-on workshops on topics including object-oriented programming, communication, teamwork, and business fundamentals.
Each team will showcase their mobile apps to a panel of distinguished judges to win exciting prizes, including the opportunity to spend a summer as an intern at a high-tech start-up.
So come join us for a fantastic night where you can network with like-minded professionals, thought leaders, and entrepreneurs, and support our program goals of giving young women increased opportunities to become tomorrow’s entrepreneurs in technology!
